ACCOMODATION
The
program is based on a cultural exchange experience and for this reason we
have carefully selected host families with whom you can share customs and
traditions; as a supplement to your language classes and to compliment the
program’s idea. These families will take care of you as if you were a
member of their family. If you are vegetarian or in case of sickness, they
will prepare special meals for you.
Your host
family will provide a comfortable double or single room and access to the
communal areas of their home. If you have a double room you will normally
share it with a fellow ACI DEL PERU student of another nationality
and who is more or less your age. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided
each day. Sharing meals with
your Peruvian family every day allows you to talk and learn in a relaxed,
natural environment. It is an experience that will enhance your progress.
The
student will share the daily activities of the family such us going
shopping, practicing a variety of sports at a private club, visiting small
villages close to Arequipa; cooking traditional food, celebrating birthday
parties, experiencing cultural celebrations, etc.
