Querida Lucy,

Cuando llegué a Arequipa, nunca imaginé encontrar una familia tan preciosa, como la tuya.  En seguida me sentí como un miembro de la familia, mi buen amigo Luis Alberto era muy divertido y siempre hacía bromas.  Alberto siempre tuvo mucha paciencia con mi mal español en el comienzo.  Tengo muchas memorias maravillosas y nunca voy a olvidar mi tiempo tan feliz en tu casa.

Tú eres una profesora excelente, la prueba de eso es esta carta, porque antes de mis clases contigo yo no podía escribir ninguna palabra en español;  pero ahora mira como puedo escribir.  Tengo mucha confianza en ti y siempre recomendaría tus clases a toda persona que quiera aprender español en el mejor ambiente.
